The Ministry of Public Security has enforced strict security on the World's largest pagoda for UNDV

On March 11th, the Government task force of the Ministry of Public Security led by Senior Lieutenant General Bùi Văn Nam - Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Public Security, Standing Deputy Head of the Security Steering Committee. The UN Day of Vesak 2019 has conducted investigation and checked the field region around Tam Chúc Pagoda (Kim Bảng, Hà Nam Province) and participated in the Deployment Conference on Security Task and Public Security for the UN Day of Vesak 2019.

After the investigation and field region checks, at Deployment Conference on Security Task and Public Security for the UN Day of Vesak 2019, Senior Lieutenant General Bùi Văn Nam listened to the police units, local reports on detailed tasks and deployment plans to guarantee security for Vesak.

Senior Lieutenant General Bùi Văn Nam has highlighted, the UN Day of Vesak 2019 will contribute in representing the responsibility of Vietnam with the United Nations and portraying peace-loving spirit of the Vietnamese government and citizens. . Therefore, , task force’s guarantee for absolute security and safety for the UN Day of Vesak is highly crucial.

Senior Lieutenant General Bùi Văn Nam requires the police units, locals to guaranteedly reinforce absolute security, safety for the activities of the UN Day of Vesak 2019; safely secured the locations, activities, dining halls, resting area for all domestic and international participants; provide all the basic amenities for the National Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (NVBS) for a successful UN Day of Vesak 2019.

Senior Lieutenant General Bùi Văn Nam clearly stated, business units and local public security in the region also needs to be fully aware and acknowledge the meaning, the importance of the UN Day of Vesak 2019 to initiate mobilized tasks with several forces, transportations, profession methods participate in protect the UN Day of Vesak 2019.

After the Deployment Conference, Public Security units, locals worked on a final check of the entire task, depends on the field region investigation, supplements additional tasks; follow closely on the division of specific tasks by the Ministry of Public Security; considers the guaranteed absolute security tasks for the UN Day of Vesak 2019 is a prioritized mission in the near future, contribute in excellence responsibility of completing the missions...

The United Nations Day of Vesak 2019 with the main theme of “Buddhist Approach to Global Leadership and Shared Responsibilities for Sustainable Societies” will be hosted at Tam Chúc Pagoda (Hà Nam Province). An estimation of 1,500 international delegates from 100 different countries and regions and approximately 10,000 domestic delegates will be participated; among them, there are leaders and head of states.

This is the third time, the National Vietnamese Buddhist Sangha hosts the UN Day of Vesak. Through, this will enhance the position of the National Vietnamese Buddhist Sangha in the global field; contribute to affirm the policies on Freedom of Religion, innovate, integrate with the Government. Also, to spread Vietnamese tourism, in general, and Hà Nam province, in particular; to attract international tourists as well as domestic tourists to Vietnam.

According to the Managing Committee of the National Vietnamese Buddhist Sanghas, the Ministry of Public Security requests guaranteed absolute security for the UN Day of Vesak 2019; to provide all the favourable conditions for the immigration process of the international delegates; participate in providing and managing entry cards for the delegates, tour guides, in region hosting Vesak, as well as dividing transportation paths from hotels to Tam Chúc Pagoda.
